“This is a true record of my initiation into a Coven of witches that practices white magic and worshipped the God & Goddess and the old ways, the coven was Gardnerian. This is taken from my extensive journals which cover a period over 40 years of my spiritual paths” 

“We arrived at the Coven stead about 1.30 as instructed. After refreshments we were left alone, at 2.15 the phone rang and I was told that my ordeal was about to begin.

I was met at my car by Hobby the Coven Maiden who was to be my guide and watcher on my journey. I was told to proceed to Dxxxxxx rail station where I would be contacted.

After a while the phone rang and I was told that there was a message hidden behind one of the phone boxes outside of the station. The message was a clue to proceed “Where a marble Angel will show the way” The Angel was found in the local churchyard, I was met there by Honeysuckle one of the Coven Maidens who gave me a Tarot reading, and a token of love and trust, a feather.

My next clue lead me to go “Where a castle once stood along a footpath you shall find me, to the right of the clubhouse a sign will direct, this is the path for you to select”

Here I was met by Crystal who tested me with the rune stones, I was given another token, a small stone and another clue ; “Seek where four ways meet by a pool round and fair, If you would your task complete look to meet me there”

At the pond I was again met by Honeysuckle who gave me a drink of wine from a chalice and instructed me to follow her after giving me a third token, the chalice itself.

Both Honeysuckle & Hobby led me deep into the woods. We eventually came upon a clearing where Crystal, Robin the High Priest, And Anise The High Priestess were waiting, all in black robes with masks on.. I was challenged by Anise and asked the two passwords “Perfect Love, and Perfect Trust”. The tokens I was given on my journey were then explained to me .

The feather represented Air, The Pebble Earth, and the Wine Water. The fourth was yet to come…

I was then bound to a tree and my shoes and socks were removed, Robin pulled my head back by my hair and held a knife to my throat, he ordered me to look at the High Priestess, and not to take my eyes from her gaze under threat of death.

Crystal, Hobby and Honeysuckle, then held red hot embers under my feet from a cauldron, I could feel the heat as my heart was racing, then, unexpectedly they threw them over my bare feet, but, they were stone cold, perfect love and perfect trust…

I had passed my ordeal and part of my initiation was over…

We then all went back to the coven stead, arriving back at 5.20 . I was instructed to have a long bath as  Willow was taken on her ordeal. After about 1.5 hours they returned, Willow to had passed.

We were kept in separate rooms for the rest of the evening. At 9pm I was told to remove my clothes and my feet were washed and oiled by Crystal & Hobby, I was then blindfolded and led naked into the Circle by Hobby and formerly initiated into the craft of the wise. Willows initiation followed mine , we celebrated with wine, food and dancing, the Coven eventually departed and we went to bed at 3.15pm. We would never be the same again”
