Jesus’ compassion is one of the most powerful messages in the Bible. Throughout his ministry, Jesus showed great empathy and care towards those in need, from the sick and the poor to the outcasts and the sinners. He didn’t judge others by their social status or their past mistakes, but saw them as human beings in need of love and healing.

One of Jesus’ most famous examples of compassion is the story of the Good Samaritan. In this story, Jesus tells of a man who was beaten and left to die on the side of the road. Two religious leaders walk by, but do nothing to help him. It is the Samaritan, who was despised by the Jews, who stops and shows compassion by caring for the man’s wounds and taking him to a safe place to recover.

Jesus’ message is clear: we are all part of the same human family, and we must look out for one another, regardless of our differences. Through acts of kindness, love, and compassion, we can make a positive impact on the world around us – just as Jesus did.

I can relate to this story personally, in the past someone I looked up to as being very spiritual showed his true nature, I was driving back from the long man at Wilmington late one evening passing through Bexhill on sea on my way to my then home in Hastings ..There was a young man lying face down on the path motionless, it was gone midnight and nobody else was around, I stopped the car to see if he was ok, my so-called “spiritual” friend told me to leave him as he was probably just drunk. I ignored his advice why he stayed in the car And went over to the body on the pavement, I asked if he was ok with no reply, so shook him gently..nothing. I called an ambulance who came out and revived him, he had taken a drug overdose. My view was not to judge as he was someone’s son, brother, or husband and I hoped that Some kind soul, a good Samaritan would do similar if one of my family or friends were in trouble.
