Several years ago I was staying in Northumberland with friends and we decided on a day trip out to Hermitage Castle on the Scottish borders.

It’s a wild desolate place and I loved the opportunity to photograph the castle as Photography is a very keen interest of mine. I took quite a few photos of the castle and around the castle grounds. We drove back to our base at Seahouses in Northumberland and were discussing the day when my friend “M” asked if I saw the lady outside by the graveyard. “What lady?” I replied as I had seen nothing.

She then explained that she saw very clearly a lady in white looking at us and felt that if I was not there she would not have seen her.

My friend thought I was some sort of catalyst for the manifestation, something to be honest I have been told before in numerous Seances due to my strong psychic spiritual energy.

We discussed the possibility it may have been a real person but my friend was adamant that the ghostly figure was there then just vanished in front of us.

We decided to do a bit of research on Google and to our surprise we discovered Mary Queen of Scott’s had been seen quite regularly at Hermitage Castle over the years, something we were all unaware of.
